"For almost a half-century, this deli has given the Westside some old-world flavor" |
|
"Junior's is straight out of the 60's. With a funky interior and great food, locals keep coming back for more." |
|

"In 1959, owner Marvin Saul opened this Westside landmark as an eight-table deli just a few blocks from its current location. Today, this bustling restaurant makes and bakes everything on the menu from scratch. From great chicken soup to pastrami and chopped liver, Junior's prepares all the deli classics in top form. Through its four decades, the restaurant has built a reputation of catering to customers' desires. Junior's was the first restaurant in the city to serve brewed decaf instead of the then-common instant stuff. When smoking became an issue, the restaurant was one of the first to create a separate room-not just a separate section-for nonsmokers. This attitude has paid off, and you'll see many media celebs dining here regularly."

Excellent Sandwich !

"I had a turkey sandwich that would make you do a backflip. I get it every time I come. I should probably try something else on the menu but I just can't get over their turkey sandwich. Junior's is that good!"

Finally Friendly Service!
Posted on losangeles.menupages.com by Lu on 03/23/2008
"I order for delivery everyday at my job. I have never had such friendly service and amazing food. If "customer service" was like this in every restaurant, shop, store, or corporate business, people would be a lot more successful and a lot more happy. Like in the 50's. It's no wonder Junior's has been in business for so long. They actually thanked me for ordering through them at the end of my conversation and took the time to talk with me about their food. All the other restaurants I call, they act like 'why the hell are you calling me?' Good job junior's you're what eating out is all about."

"Junior's chicken soup, and the sandwiches from the deli, are world-class. Try the pastrami or the brisket. Thin-sliced, melt-in-your-mouth meat...to die for. The service the last few times I went was superb...fast and attentive, both in the restaurant and from the deli
personnel."

"Not only do they have great service, but they have FABULOUS cakes! I've taken them to a couple of different birthday parties and people are astounded when I tell them it's from Junior's Deli on Westwood. They are my family's favorites AND they're very affordable."

I LOOOOOOOOVE Junior's cakes!

"The very best is the Brown Derby cake - chocolate cake with fresh strawberries and bananas with whipped cream... Junior's cake is like homemade, except made by someone who can actually cook."

Taste buds singing 4-part harmony!
Posted on chowhound.com by WLA on 09/26/2002
"We like Jr.'s and have been going there on a regular basis for at least 15 years. I had the pound cake sundae last night, which I do fairly frequently. I have them heat up the chocolate sauce/hot fudge and with the vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and chopped nuts it really hits my sweet spot. There is just something about a moist, dense pound cake with those added ingredients that has my taste buds singing 4 part harmony."
